I wasn’t on assignment, but I decided to take pictures of the UK v. UofL rivalry volleyball game because I know someone that plays for UofL. Even though I was supporting her, I was so glad when we pulled out the win (I was also kind of surprised, they fought hard). Go Big Blue!
The return of the fair can only mean one thing: Thrillway rides!
So this guy came up to me on Bardstown last night and scared the crap out of me, but I thought “how will I ever be a street photographer if I don’t talk to people?” So he told me about how he was a veteran and it was his birthday and someone had given him a Yuengling beer which is rare around here. Then he asked me for some money for a drink, and of course I didn’t have any, but he also asked for a picture and I figured I could oblige him that. Happy birthday, kind-of-scary-kind-of-nice-dude-with-the-special-beer.

Reason 257 why summer shouldn’t end: I’m not ready to give up spontaneous park dates
The clarity in this body/lens combo makes me happy because the focus on my 50mm 1.8 was going soft so I needed a new portraitish lens anyways. And also shoutout to high pass/overlay for becoming my new best friend.
